If you hold down SHIFT while opening PSP does this do anything? - this is technically supposed to reset PSP to factory defaults. Quick question, what do you mean "Can't open?" If you open up your Task Manager then start Corel does it start and then immediately close? Does it hang in the background? Does the splash screen show up and get stuck on a particular task? What exactly happens? So if you had already purchased X9 and you don't need the Ultimate software I would suggest seeing if you can return it. There is no difference in the version of PSP. I should also point out that the "ultimate' pack is just additional software. The best you can hope for is if some users on here have had similar issues.
